The reading surface has a raised gallery on three sides, so notes and a microphone stay where you put them, and there is an open shelf directly underneath within easy reach of the speaker.

ADDING YOUR SEAL OR LOGO

The front panel is the reason to choose this lectern. A full-color logo plate mounts on the lower panel, framed by the raised moulding, and it is legible from the back of a room. A town seal, a school crest, a department badge, or a company mark all work.

The logo is an option at checkout, priced as an addition to the lectern. To produce it we need artwork as a vector file with the EPS included, sent to sales@podiumsdirect.com. We work in Adobe Illustrator. Three rounds of design changes are included; further changes are charged per request. If you cannot lay hands on a vector version of your seal, send us what you have and we will tell you whether it can be worked from.

WILL IT FIT YOUR ROOM?

Overall dimensions are 27"W x 22"D x 47"H, and it weighs 115 lbs. That is a compact footprint for a full-height lectern, which is why it suits a council chamber or a courtroom where floor space is tight but the piece still has to look official.

Because of the weight it ships by freight truck rather than parcel. The carrier calls ahead to schedule a delivery appointment, so plan on someone being there to receive it and two people to move it into place. The dolly wheels handle it from there.

Each one is built to order, so allow approximately 10 weeks from the date you order, and longer if a logo needs artwork approval first. For the same reason it cannot be cancelled or returned once it is in production.

CHOOSING A STAIN

Light Oak #35, Medium Oak #43, and Dark Coffee #37 carry no additional charge. Twelve further colors are available for an upcharge, including 711 Pecan, 128 Chestnut, 147 Tamarack, and 235 Black Pine.

If you are matching existing millwork, a bench, or a bar, ask us for stain samples before you order. They are free, they arrive in a few days, and wood takes stain differently from piece to piece—a screen will not tell you what you need to know. This matters more when a logo is involved, since the plate colors sit against the finish.
