The Royal is the compact one. At 24" wide, 18" deep, and 85 lbs, it is the smallest and lightest solid oak lectern we build, and it is the least expensive lectern in hardwood range. If a full-size lectern would swamp the room or the budget, this is the one that still gets you real red oak rather than laminate over particle board.
It is also the easiest to brand. The design is deliberately plain: a flat front panel above a 16" pillar, both clear of moulding and carving, which leaves an unbroken face for a logo, seal, or wordmark. The lectern in the first photograph is a Michigan State University build.
Made to order in the stain you choose, and it arrives assembled—no flat-pack, no hardware, nothing to build on delivery day.

WHY THIS ONE RATHER THAN THE CELEBRITY OR CONQUEST
Those two are both 27"W x 22"D and 115 to 120 lbs. The Royal is 24"W x 18"D and 85 lbs. That difference decides it in most rooms:
- It fits a small platform, a corner of a classroom, or a funeral home chapel where a 27" lectern crowds the space
- At 85 lbs with dolly wheels, one person can genuinely move it between rooms
- Its shelf adjusts for height; the Celebrity's is fixed
- It costs less than either
Go to the Celebrity or the Conquest instead if you want more physical presence behind the speaker, or a traditional raised-panel look rather than plain flat faces.
ADDING YOUR LOGO OR SEAL
A logo is an option at checkout, priced as an addition to the lectern. Send artwork as a vector file with the EPS included to sales@podiumsdirect.com. We work in Adobe Illustrator. Three rounds of design changes are included; further changes are charged per request. If you only have a low-resolution image of your crest, send it anyway and we will tell you whether it can be worked from.
WILL IT FIT YOUR ROOM?
Overall dimensions are 24"W x 18"D x 46"H, and it weighs 85 lbs. The 46" height suits a standing speaker of average height, and there is no height adjustment on this model.
Even at 85 lbs it ships by freight truck rather than parcel. The carrier calls ahead to schedule a delivery appointment, so plan on someone being there to receive it.
Each one is built to order, so allow approximately 10 weeks from the date you order, and longer if a logo needs artwork approval first. For the same reason it cannot be cancelled or returned once it is in production.
CHOOSING A STAIN
Light Oak #35, Medium Oak #43, and Dark Coffee #37 carry no additional charge. Twelve further colors are available for an upcharge, including 711 Pecan, 128 Chestnut, 147 Tamarack, and 235 Black Pine.
Because the faces are broad and unbroken, the stain is most of what you see on this lectern—there is no carving to draw the eye instead. If you are matching existing furniture, ask us for stain samples before you order. They are free, they arrive in a few days, and wood takes stain differently from piece to piece.
