Non-Profit Organization Use Of A Podium Or Lectern
We have sold many podiums and lecterns to non-profit organizations, but I always wondered what they used them for. I did a little research and found that the organizations use them for many and a variety of events, etc.
Fundraising Banquets – A podium is used for making speeches, welcoming guest, special appeals announcements, as well as calling a live auction.
Volunteer Recognition Ceremonies – To celebrate contributions of volunteers, thank individuals and present awards to outstanding volunteers are enhanced with a podium or lectern.
Press Conferences, Announcements, etc. – The podium adds a professional touch when addressing the media, regarding new initiatives, a successful campaign, present research or lead a discussion or participate in a panel discussion.
Tributes and Memorials – For organizations founded in honor of an individual or have lost a key member, a podium may be used for a memorial service and/or eulogy.
Donor Briefing – During briefing of high level donors, provide updates on projects, present research or share success stories, a podium can be utilized to help build a strong emotional connection to the cause.
Board Meetings – For a formal board meeting a podium or lectern can be made use of by a board chair or executive director to give a presentation.
Educational Seminars and Workshops – An instructor(s) or speaker(s) may use a podium or lectern at training sessions for staff, volunteers and the public.
Fundraising Kick-Offs – For fundraising initiatives that rely on volunteer participation, a podium is used to motivate, explain goals and provide instructions to staff and volunteers.
Storytelling Platform – A podium can be helpful to bring powerful stories from those impacted by the non-profit’s works and programs and providing testimonials to inspire support.
As you can see from the above, a non-profit organization can benefits from a purchase of a podium or lectern and is a worthwhile investment.
